Welcome to 4 Nights 5 Days Gangtok –Darjeeling tour, after arriving at the Bagdogra airport meet our representative, who will escort you to Gangtok “The Capital of Sikkim”. Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Post breakfast embark on an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft). Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast embark on a tour of Gangtok covering Enchey Monastery, Handicraft Centre, Jhakri Waterfalls, and Flower Show. Return to your hotel. Post lunch take travel to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. In its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, one of the world’s highest peaks. Check-in to your hotel after reaching your destination . Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Early in the Morning (at 04:00 am) visit Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back you will see Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling covering – Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee selfhelp Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), and Japanese Peace Pagoda. Rest of the day you’re free to relax or you can go to the Mall (Chowrastha). Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
